LOKAL 5-FLUOROURASİL UYGULANMASININ TENDON İYİLEŞMESİNDE ADEZYON AZALTICI ETKİSİ: DENEYSEL ÇALIŞMA

Tendon onarımlarından sonra fibrotik yapışıklık gelişimi operasyonun sonucunu etkileyebilen en önemli sorundur. Bugüne kadar tendon yapışıklığını önlemek amacıyla birçok yöntem araştırılmış olmasına rağmen bu sorun el cerrahisinde henüz çözümlenememiş bir problemdir. Prospektif, kontrollü olarak planlanan bu çalışmada, in-vitro olarak 5-Fluorourasilin tendon iyileşmesindeki etkisini araştırmak amacıyla 10 adet erkek Yeni Zelanda tavşanında sağ pençede tendon kesileri ve tenorafi yapılarak, lokal 5-Fluorourasil uygulamasıyla postoperatif dönemde histolojik olarak yapışıklık miktarları araştırıldı. İki farklı deney grubunun, iki kontrol grubu oluşturularak kıyaslandığı bu araştırmada, 5-Fluorourasilin tendon iyileşmesinin erken döneminde, yapışıklıkların oluşmasını anlamlı derecede engellediği gösterildi.

DECREASE IN ADHESION FORMATION BY LOCAL APPLICATION OF 5-FLUOROURACIL ON TENDON HEALING: IN VITRO STUDY

Tendon adhesions that formed after tendon operations are the most important problem, which may effect on results. Up to now, different techniques have been researched to prevent adhesions, but this problem has not been solved yet. In this prospective controlled study, it is aimed to investigate the effect of 5-Fluorouracil on tendon healing. Complete tendon incisions were made on the arms of the 10 New Zealand rabbits. After the standard reparation of the tendons, 5-Fluorouracil was applied on the wounds locally and the amount of tendon adhesions were evaluated in the early postoperative period histopathologycally. In this study, two control and two test groups were constituted and it has showed that application of 5- Fluorouracil after tendon repairing can prevent tendon adhesions significantly in the early postoperative period.
