COVID-19 Olgularında Atipik Prezentasyon: Bir Olgu Sunumu ve Literatürün Gözden Geçirilmesi

“Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)” virüsünün neden olduğu “Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)”, küresel bir halk sağlığı problemi olup, alışılagelmiş ateş ve solunumsal semptomların dışında mevcut olan atipik bulgular, hastalığın erken tanı ve tedavisini güçleştirmektedir. Bu olgular, hastalığın kontrol altına alınmasında zorluklara yol açmaya devam etmektedir. Olgumuz, ishal ve genel durum bozukluğu şikayetleri ile hastaneye başvuran ve erişkin yoğun bakımda takip edilirken gelişen solunum sıkıntısı nedeniyle COVID-19 şüphesiyle nazofarengeal sürüntü örneğinde pozitif sonuç görülen bir olgudur. Bu sunumda, benzer şekilde atipik bulgularla seyreden bildirilmiş COVID-19 olgu örneklerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Atypical Presentation of COVID-19 Cases: A Case Report and the Literature Review

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a global health problem and atypical presentations in the absence of classical fever and respiratory symptoms result in the difficulty in early diagnosis and treatment. These cases are troublesome for the infection control. Our case was a patient who diagnosed as COVID-19 with the nasopharyngeal swab due to sudden respiratory distress after admission to the adult intensive care unit with complaints of diarrhea and impairment of general condition. This presentation was aimed to search the literature concerning the COVID-19 patients represented with the atypical clinical features.
