BÝR ÝNSÜLÝNOMA OLGUSU

Ýnsulinoma; aþýrý insulin salýný ve buna baðlý hipoglisemi ile karakterli, pankreasýn beta hücrelerinden köken alan, endokrin bir pankreas tümörüdür. Hastalarýn çoðunda klasik Whipple inadý (kan þekerinin 40 mg/dl'nin altýnda olmasý, hipoglisemi bulgu ve belirtileri, verilen glikozla bunlarýn düzelmesi) bulunur. Burada Whipple triadý ile baþvuran hastada, yapýlan laboratuvar tetkikleri ve biyopsi sonrasý insulinoma saptanmýþtýr. Nadir rastlanan bir olgu olmasý nedeniyle literatür gözden geçirilmiþtir.

AN INSULINOMA CASE

Insulinoma, is a neuroendocrine tumor of pancreas, characterized by hypoglycemia related with excessive insulin secretion and its origin is the beta cells of pancreas. Classical Whipple triad (blood glucose level below 40 mg/dl, symptoms and signs of hypoglisemia which were lost after glucose infusion) can be detected in most of the patients. In this case, the patient who admitted our clinic with Whipple triad symptoms was examined, after clinical and laboratory examinations, determined as insulinoma. intraoperative biopsy was taken during the operation and the result was insulinoma. Because of it is a rare syndrome, we checked scientific literature and confirmed our decision.
