Penil protez implantasyonu: Otuz olgunun gözden geçirilmesi

AMAÇ: Bu çalışmada amacımız, kliniğimizde penil protez implantasyonu yapılan 30 hastayı retrospektif olarak, yan etki oranları ve memnuniyet açısından değerlendirmektir.
YÖNTEMLER: Kliniğimizde 2004 ile 2009 yılları arasında, organik kökenli erektil işlev bozukluğu nedeniyle bükülebilir veya şişirilebilir penil protez implantasyonu yapılan 30 hastanın verileri retrospektif olarak incelendi.
BULGULAR: Hastaların 18’ine bükülebilir, 12’sine şişirilebilir protez implantasyonu yapıldı. Hiçbir hastada erken dönemde penil ödem, skrotal hematom veya tedaviye yanıtsız enfeksiyon
görülmedi. Şişirilebilir penil protez implantasyonu yapılan 1 hastada protez dislokasyonu nedeniyle silindirlerden birinin çıkarılması gerekti.
SONUÇ: Bizim deneyimlerimize göre penil protez implantasyonu sonucu oluşan komplikasyonlar ve hasta memnuniyetsizliği en düşük seviyededir.

Penile prosthesis implantation: Evaluation of 30 cases

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to retrospectively evaluate 30 patients who underwent penile prosthesis implantation with respect to patient satisfaction and side effect rates of the procedures.
METHODS: The medical records of 30 men who had organic erectile dysfunction and had undergone implantation of either malleable or inflatable penile prosthesis between 2004 and 2009 were examined retrospectively.
RESULTS: During the study period, 18 malleable and 12 inflatable penile prostheses were inserted. No minor complications, such as penile edema, scrotal hematoma or infections responsive to treatment, were seen in any of our patients. In one patient with inflatable penile prosthesis implantation, one of the cylinders was removed due to prosthesis dislocation.
CONCLUSION: According to our experience, penile prosthesis had minimal complication and minimal displeasure.
