A Case of Splenosis Mimicking a Gastric Tumor

Splenosis is a heterotypic autotransplantation of splenic tissue. It usually results from posttraumatic rupture of the spleen or splenectomy. It is typically asymptomatic and is often detected incidentally. It may also be confused with malignant masses on differential diagnosis. For this reason, a definitive diagnosis is critical. We present a case of splenosis located on the stomach wall that mimicked a gastric tumor.

Splenozis dalak dokusunun heteretopik ototransplantasyonudur. Genellikle travma ile dalağın rüptürü veya splenektomi sonrası görülür. Çoğunlukla şikayete sebep olmaz ve tesadüfen tespit edilir. Ayırıcı tanıda malign kitlelerle karışır. Bu yüzden kesin teşhisi önemlidir. Bu yazımızda mide duvarında yerleşen ve mide karsinomunu taklit eden splenozis olgusunu sunuyoruz.
